New way to cook the Thanksgiving turkey

My brother Chris and his wife Julie bought a turkey fryer a couple of years ago. They cooked up delicious turkeys in a fraction of the time it took to cook a turkey in the oven. The outside was nice and crispy and the inside moist. The only complaint they had was the cost of the oil to fill the fryer and the safety issue of the oil spilling or causing burns.

Char Broil just came out with a oil-less way to fry a turkey. It uses infrared technology instead of oil to safely deliver the same moist, crispy and favorable results. Place the meat in a drop in basket that is lowered into the chamber and it cooks with evenly radiant heat.

Meat cooked in this fryer can still be injected with marinades and they make better use of flavorful rubs that would float away with traditional turkey fryers. Not only can this fryer cook turkeys but it can cook chicken, pork tenderloins, beef roasts and more large cuts of meat weighing as much as 16 pounds. All in about 10 minutes per pound.

Retail price is around 149.00 and you can find it at Lowes or other retailers that sell Char Broil items.
