Climbing the mountain

Today I climbed the mountain in the 55+ community. We live near the yellow building in the upper middle part of the picture. Four years ago when I discovered the path up the mountain, it was a peaceful place to go and watch the city below. It has gotten so noisy up on the mountain with all the earth movers, and dump trucks reconstructing the mountains so that 15 million dollar and up homes can be built.

I will continue to climb the mountain each week and take in the beautiful city and mountains from afar. I guess I'll just have to bring some ear plugs.....

how far away is red rocks nat park from you guys?

It is around 30 minutes away from us. It is on the opposite side of the valley from us. We are heading there today to do some trail walking.
